(More customer reviews)Tony Chachere's is a CREOLE Shredded Coconut Batter. Creole is spicey, so be prepared!
I didn't find the large flakes of coconut in the mix, as are shown in the packaging picture. I found the contents a little skimpy for coating a full pound of large shrimp (21-24 lg. shrimp per lb.) It's a stretch.
The taste? At first, salty. But, between the red pepper and chili powder, I couldn't taste anything after the second bite, so I will leave the flavor description to another reviewer.
Now, the packaging states this mix will produce approximately seven(7) servings, with ***900mg sodium*** per serving. For 3-4 large shrimp? I think I'll stick to cocktail sauce.
