When i first opened it it had the coconut solid oil on the top, like the same you get if you just buy coconut cooking oil in jars..i thought hmm tastes ok, but then i dug in after reading instructions and mixed it all up and the spread seemed to emerse from the mixing of the settled oil ( not fat oil, natural coconut white solid oil) and ohhhhh my god ..its tastes as coconutty as coconuts are ever going to be..it has a sweet twist which made me check the label twice as i thought theres noway this is just one ingrediant..but for sure it is just the coconut..it is heavenly and paradise and melts in your mouth better than chocolate and it is addictive!!! its not overly sweet and not overly bland ..it explodes..honest this stuff is amazing. coconut lovers will not regret this purchase.

This delicious coconut spread is made by first drying the coconut at low temperatures and then grinding it into a paste. Our manufacturers in the Philippines do a special processing of our coconuts so the temperature remains low and this spread and our dehydrated coconut can be considered "raw".Standard coconut is blanched at 170-180° F and dried at temperatures between 160° and 170° F. Our manufacturers keep the temperatures around 103° F and do not blanch the coconuts.It is shelf-stable without needing preservatives.Like natural peanut butter or almond butter, the oils in the coconut spread will naturally rise to the top of the jar as it sets. It is also important to understand that this oil will turn to a solid at temperatures cooler than 76° F. Therefore, to use this spread you will want to lightly warm the jar (if it is cool in your home, below 76°) and you will need to stir it with a knife to remix the oils into the paste.
