These coals (and all others of the natural variety) do NOT contain an ignition accelerator like quick-lights, therefore they last MUCH longer and do not impart any sort of chemical taste that you may get with your average quicklight. However, this does mean that they require much longer to light. In order to fully light any natural coal, it must be heated for about 10 minutes - a coil burner works well for this. It really isn't that much trouble if you set the coals on the stove and pack your shisha while they're lighting.
As for this particular brand, I've been through about 10 boxes and they never disappoint - definitely on-par with Coco Nara.
