Generally, I do not really like the taste of coconut water all that much--it's not bad, but I don't really enjoy it either. I mainly use it when I am doing a detox fast. I tried this brand of coconut water because it was on sale. I thought all coconut water tasted the same, as, to me, O.N.E., Zico, and VitaCoco all pretty much taste the same. Harvest Bay, on the other hand, has a lighter flavor. By a lighter flavor, I mean, less of it. So to me, it's actually more palatable. However, if you really enjoy that sort of vaguely chocolately or nutty flavor, you'll have less of it with this brand. This brand also tastes slightly less sweet to me.
All of that being said, the flavor difference might just be a seasonal variance in the coconuts and nothing to do with the brand itself. Its coconut water is from Brazil like all the other brands.
On the expiry date, I ordered mine in October, and the expiry date was January--so only three months. With the other brands I've ordered from Amazon I usually get a lifespan of six months or more. This is a bit disappointing. If you're a normal person, this is probably no big deal, but for me, since I only drink it during seasonal detoxes, it's more of a problem if I end up with leftovers.
