(More customer reviews)I love using this in baked goods that contain chocolate like chocolate cakes, brownies, chocolate chip cookies, etc. I've found that it enhances the chocolate flavor by adding more depth without having to increase the amount of cocoa powder or chocolate in the recipe. I really enjoy this product and plan to purchase another bottle when I run out.

Athens Kataifi Dough - Shredded Fillo (Phyllo) Review

(More customer reviews)This product was not packaged properly. The freeze packs were thawed and the product was at room tempreture when received. Should have packed in with dry-ice. We re-froze dough but with uneven results. Some was good some bad.

Kataifi Dough is the shredded cousin of fillo dough. Traditionally used to make the famous Kataifi pastry (similar to baklava), many chefs have found it to be a great creative tool to spice up their recipes. Martha Stewart also used this to make little bird nests for one of her recipes.

(More customer reviews)Unfortunately, two out of my three bottles were smashed. They went through the trouble of wrapping them in bubble wrap and putting them in a medium box with lots of air pillows, but because the three bottles were all put together inside of one bubble wrapped bag, they were broken. It's very disappointing that they haven't resolved the packing issues, what a waste. The glass bottles need to be individually wrapped. It was a mess to clean up - tiny shards of glass and extract everywhere. Smelled fantastic, though. It's clearly a good product. I'd love to give it a higher rating.

(More customer reviews)I bought this after purchasing coconut extract from the grocery store. The store coconut extract didn't add any coconut flavor to my dish (coconut cupcakes or coconut bread pudding). This product did the trick. It adds a distinct coconut flavor and is delicious, but don't use too much - it can be powerful. I use this product whenever I need to add a little coconut flavor. The amount in the dram is small, enough for 2 uses, so I usually order 2 at a time.

KTC Pure Creamed Coconut, 200-Gram Boxes (Pack of 40) Review

(More customer reviews)I ordered a 40-pack of KTC's Creamed Coconut. However, it was an unpleasant surprise when I opened the package and removed the shrink-wrap around the 40 single boxes of creamed coconut: almost all of them were oily - some looked as they were submerged in oil.
Ok, mishaps can happen, I said to me. I contacted customer service and told about the problem. I received a replacement. Unfortunately, the same problem, yet worse. Now practically all of the 40 7-oz. or 200 gram boxes were oily.
Out of curiosity, I opened a box and saw that the coconut cream was placed in a very thin bag. At first glance, I couldn't figure out where it leaked. Yet, when I pressed gently the bag began leaking out from tiny holes. The longer I held the bag the more the creamed coconut warmed up and the more it leaked. How can someone dare to sell creamed coconut in such crappy bags?!
Once again, I contacted customer service,yet this time for a refund!
Avoid KTC creamed coconut! Instead, buy Let's Do Organic's Coconut cream. It costs slightly more but it is organic and has a good taste and IT IS WELL PACKAGED. I just pay $12.70 for 6 7-oz boxes of Let's Do Organic Coconut Cream with Amazon's 'Subscribe & Save' offer.

I originally bought this at my local co-op, and it is THE best coconut flavor I have ever used. I am allergic to lactose, gluten and soy and there is none in this!
I use it in my (incresingly famous) chocolate sauces, cookies, cakes, smoothies, etc. and it is such a distinct and tasty coconut flavor that one almost swoons. I have to credit it with the popularity of my recipes. It is absolutely LOVELY & I HIGHLY recommend this! Also, it is a generously-sized bottle for a gourmet flavoring. Try it in pancake batter!

I am currently waiting until I need more, and then I will be back here at AMZ to purchase this. This is THE best price I have seen too! It is a bit oily so when I use it, I keep a paper towel handy to wipe off the opening so there is no "leakage" after closing it. (like one sometimes get after pouring oil from the bottle). Storage - - I keep it in my cupboard. For Real "punch," I add it to my coconut oil when I am using it in a recipe and let it sit until it's time to add it to the recipe I am preparing; not sure why, but doing this seems to increase the flavor even more. TOTAL YUMMM!
Like I said, try adding a tsp. of this to your pancake batter, along with 1/4-1/3 C. orange juice and 2 T. coconut oil!

If you need CC extract, and you use a lot of it, buy this, as you save $$$ over buying a ton of those silly little bottles. Thumbs up for amazon for carrying this.

(More customer reviews)I've tried a few brands of coconut milk since I have started cooking Thai-style curries, and, so far, I like Roland the best. It's organic, it tastes great, and it has the full fat content, which I prefer. If you're looking for a good, full-fat coconut milk, give it a try.

(More customer reviews)After reading the review about dented cans, I was leery to buy 2 cases from Amazon but I am glad I did! I received all 24 cans, and NONE were dented. I was pleasantly surprised! The milk worked for my thai curry quite well, but I just wish it was a bit thicker. While this milk is not as thick as the Mae Ploy brand I have tried in the past, I feel better knowing it was organically grown and that this particular company does not use BPA in their cans for coconut milk, or several other of their products. If more companies jump on the bandwagon I will try more brands but until then I am sticking with Native Forest.
