(More customer reviews)I am not a tea connoisseur, but this is my favorite tea so far. Silky, smooth, with a complex yet perfect balance of flavors, it has a hint of spiciness and a hint of sweetness from the coconut, which is subtle yet definitely present... I added one packet of stevia (Truvia) and a touch of milk inspired by the other reviews, and it feels like a dessert without the overwhelming sweetness. I will certainly be trying Zhena's other flavors! I just wish Amazon sold the refill bags so as to support the company's effort to be green even more.

Description of my tastes first, to maybe help profile the kind of palate that finds such a totally happy match. During the warm months I drink a lot of iced tea, and my favorite tends to be ginger blends. During the cold months, I tend to gravitate a bit more towards heartier tea, particularly black chais.
Now, where this Celestial Green Chai stands out -- it's that it excels so well in both roles, excellent both as summertime iced tea and as a wintertime hot tea. No other tea have I found to be so equally enjoyable both hot and cold.
I drink many kinds of tea, always fun rotating, but it is this one which has achieved the place of Numero Uno for my enthusiasm and enjoyment.

(Ah, and not forget the bonus is that it contains ingredients that are good for you...the green's antioxidant phyto thingy going on, and the ginger that's good for the tummy etc)

(More customer reviews)My favorite coffe shop uses this brand for their chais that they sell. I used to be able to get Pacific Chai at my grocery store, but they stopped carrying it. Luckily, Amazon to the rescue! I know it's not nutritious but it can warm you up and it is totally delicious. My daughter and I prefer the vanilla flavor, and if you heat up some Silk brand soy milk & blend it with the mix ( instead of the water the label calls for) it is really amazing! Plus, we women need to get our iso-flavanoids, and this is a really yummy way. I've used regular milk too, but believe me, for some reason the soy is so much better. I've even got my totally soya-phobic co-workers drinking it that way, and the owner of the coffe shop actually put soy milk on the menu as an option with the chai. Like my title states, it's probably not authentic chai but it is still super tasty and the spices ( cinnamon, ginger, cloves) are very warming. It's the perfect drink on a cold day or if you have the chills and can't seem to get warm. The label says you can serve it cold but I haven't tried that yet; to me it just seems like a hot drink.The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the ingredients really do suck- non-dairy creamer w/coconut oil & corn syrup solids. Black tea is waaaay down on the list. But, I just take it for what it is; an occasional indulgence when I crave something hot & sweet & spicy ( of the non-masculine variety! ) to warm me up.

(More customer reviews)The final ingredient on the box is sucralose, but after a serving of this, I'd have thought it was the first ingredient. The first sip is fine, then the sour/bitter aftertase sets in, and completely overwhelmes the tea and spices. If you're not averse to things like Splenda/aspartame/sucralose and all the other names for the chemicals that are fake sugar, then you probably won't object to this. I on the other hand, regret my purchase as a waste of $10. Practically undrinkable.

(More customer reviews)I ordered this tea and instead of receiving Pomegranate Rose Tea, which I have had before and which I love, I was sent Pom and Petals Tea. I tried it thinking it might be the same tea with a new label and new container. It is NOT the same tea. Pomegranate Rose tea was a delicious, aromatic tea that came in a lovely container, but appears to have been discontinued by Zhena's. Pom and Petals is a disappointing, bland tea in a dull container. Pomegranate Rose tea is no longer advertised at Zhena's website. I called Vitamin Shoppe directly to ask if they had Pomegranate Rose tea rather than Pom and Petals. The sales person assured me that they did, so I placed a large order, thinking that even though the tea appears to have been discontinued, perhaps Vitamin Shoppe still had some left. To my enormous disappointment, the tea sent was again Pom and Petals. They are now allowing me to return it at their expense. I can't fathom why Zhena's would change from making their wonderful Pomegranate Rose tea to making Pom and Petals, which is what you now get when you order Pomegranate Rose.

(More customer reviews)I had tried this tea in the little sachets when I found it in a grocery store. Being able to buy it in bulk means I can enjoy it without spending a fortune! I put the tea in the kitchen at my office for convenience and all the women in the office started drinking it. We now have it on the "subscribe and save" plan for delivery every two months. The tea is not overpowering - the coconut is subtle, add just a hint of different flavor to a typical chai tea. Even people who don't like coconut like this tea. The whole tea is fairly mild, so if you like strong chai's this may not be the tea for you.
