If you like coconut (and I do), the coconut acai bars are tasty, filling, easily portable (nothing to melt in the summer, so they're great for stashing in cars and such) and fit nicely into a number of restricted diets (vegan, gluten free, et al.). From the sound of things, though, Amazon might not be the best place to get them.

This creamy coconut cream pie bar is a taste of the heavens. Literally and figeratively. Figurately because they taste so good, it tastes like food of the heavens, plus they are so healthy. Literally because they are made in Denver. I just got back from a little vacation in Denver and Colorado Springs; Colorado is as beautiful as a slice of heaven.
These bars are healthy. They are made with fruits and nuts. There are no added sugars, chemicals, preservatives, etc.
These bars taste awesome. It is amazing to me how they can make the bars taste exactly like whatever the flavor is. For example, cherry pie bar tastes exactly like cherry pie; pecan pie bar tastes exactly like pecan pie, etc. This review is for coconut cream pie, and these bars tastes exactly like coconut cream pie.
These bars are vegan-friendly.
These bars are good for anyone on a diet, or anyone who is health-conscious.
These bars are convenient. They can be packed into lunches or snacks; there is no mixing or measuring or cutting or cooking required.
These bars are just awesome!!!!
And this bar, coconut cream pie bar, is absolutely outstanding!!!!!

But for a person who can't eat other nutrition bars because of gluten intolerance or Celiac disease these are the best thing that happened to us. I can carry these in my purse and when I go somewhere where others are eating a donut with their coffee or tea, I can pull this out and not feel left out. The blueberry ones also taste good. My favorite were the apple/walnut ones but I can't seem to find these anymore.

Once it came I was shocked to learn that it is pretty much identical to sucanat. I have been using this for a few years and love it. After it came and I saw it, smelled it and tasted it- I had to do some research on it. Turns of, I could have stuck with the sucanat. They taste and smell pretty much the same, cook the same and have the same level of sweetness. I give it a 3 only because if the cost. I say save the $$ and get the sucanat. It costs generally about $2 a pound.

(More customer reviews)I've tried all the organic raw bars I could find and this brand (and this flavor) is my favorite. It reminds me of a tootsie roll. I've never been a huge tootsie roll fan, but I just love these. My sister-in-law likes the cinnamon one best. It may be cinnamon raisin or something like that - I have forgotten.
I usually take fruit along with me for a snack, but there are times when it's good to have something along for emergencies - something that will fit in my purse. This bar is perfect for that. Plus, it will hold my appetite in check til I can get home.
This bar is easy to eat on the run. Granola and some other carry along snacks can get messy. Not this bar.
The ingredient list is good. Agave nectar is technically not raw, but I assume everything else is. The label includes an impressive list of major points - raw, cold pressed, gluten free, no refined sugars, no soy, no dairy, no peanuts, non GMO.
There are 18g of sugar, but my diet is very good so one of these now and then doesn't worry me.

(More customer reviews)I used to use Bob's Redmill Coconut flour almost exclusively till its availability suddenly dried up, and that was after trying out a variety of other vendors who's flour would perform poorly. I'm glad the supply of Bob's went dry because it forced me to try another vendor, and Tropical Traditions flour is without a doubt, a premium grade. It arrived swiftly and in double sealed bags to insure its freshness, which was a pleasant surprise, and stores just fine in a variety of mediums if your use of it requires a slower use. It is of fine, even texture, has that wonderful smell to it, and though I don't use the flour for all its broad applications as most do, the quality of this flour is such that I will order from Tropical Traditions exclusively now and without a shred of hesitation. Low cost, high quality makes this a no brainer for me.

(More customer reviews)I find typical granola or snack-mix bars too dry, too sweet, not sweet enough, or just plain boring - not what I would savor as an afternoon snack instead of peanut M&Ms. Larabars (even the non-chocolate varieties) pack the perfect mix of sweet and tart and other sensations to tantalize your mouth and keep you from mindlessly munching on crap food.
I received the 16-bar box as a Christmas gift and took them traveling - and had my husband, who normally turns up his nose at "nutrition bars" - reaching for them on long flights or day trips! A friend who avoids laboratory-sounding ingredients loved the ingredients list - each bar only contains the ingredients you would expect to find. Another friend was intrigued by the coconut flavor even though he typically hates sweetened, gloopy coconut.
A firm favorite AND a crowd-pleaser - I'll be stocking up on these for a long time to come!
