(More customer reviews)So far this is the best all-natural conditioner I've tried (and I've tried a lot of them, unfortunately). My skin is very sensitive to all the crap in normal shampoos/conditioners, gives me hives and makes me break out. So I have to use all-natural stuff if I want to have clear skin.
First off, my hair is waist-length and type 2b/2c according to naturallycurly.com's standard, prone to frizz and a greasy scalp. I use a clarifying shampoo or apple cider vinegar rinse every week or two because my scalp gets so greasy, no matter what kind of products I use. My big problem with all-natural shampoos and conditioners is that they usually leave my hair greasy, and/or smell bad.
So first off, this conditioner and the corresponding shampoo smell *amazing*. Yum! But it's not over-powering, and it also does not give me a head-ache, which is a concern I often have with fragrances.
As other reviewers have complained about, this conditioner is very light. However I think this is only a problem depending on your hair type. I use a wide-tooth comb in the shower to comb out my hair after I put conditioner in. And with my hair-type, this conditioner works just fine for that purpose. I think if you have hair that's more unruly, a heavier conditioner might be better.
For me, this shampoo and conditioner combo work well. My hair feels shiny and clean. It does not dry my hair out, and it does not leave me with a greasy feeling. Plus it smells amazing.
I do follow up with a styling creme and/or leave-in conditioner (Alba has some great natural versions, no cones, parabens, etc). But I've always had to do this, even when I was using normal junky shampoos and conditioners.
