Hesh Brahmi Amla Herbal Hair Oil 200ml Review

(More customer reviews)The ingredients from the bottle are below. The product contains more vegetable oil than brahmi. Vegetable oil is suppose to be a good emollient but if I wanted that in my hair I could easily buy a bottle for less at the store. I found the oil did not absorb that well but then I saw it had mineral oil,and now realize why. Also silicones can cause build up over long term use and does not do well with everyone. I think for a really good oil that absorbs well stick to extra virgin coconut oil. As for the smell, I didn't like it. The consistency is thin like coconut oil and the color is green. Alma supposedly darkens the hair color but I wouldn't know if this product would do so. I threw it out after a couple uses. I tried to like it but it's not for me.

I like this stuff, it's really creamy, which is what I like for my African American hair. But the key to this stuff is not to use so much, only a small amount is needed. Other wise it will make your hair greasy. The smell is not the great but it's not that bad either. It's better than most of the stuff that I've used, it keeps my hair really soft. I would recommend this to others.

(More customer reviews)I was first introduced to Mizani products by my mother (and her stylist recommend the line to her), and the Mizani Butter Rich Deep Nourishing Hairdress became one of her staples. Before I purchased it for myself, my mom let me use some of hers to see how it liked it. Obviously, I liked it enough to buy; however, it has been a little tricky perfecting how I use it. It has a great smell and has done a good job at keeping my hair (especially my ends!) moisturized, but using too much of it can result in a heavy, weighed-down look. Unlike my mom, who has coarse hair, mine in more fine, and I wanted to keep my hair healthy and moisturized, but not at the expense of sacrificing the style or feel of my hair. I just had to use trial and error to figure out how much and how often I needed to apply the Butter Rich to my hair. On the label, it says to use the product "sparingly" which is exactly how it should be used; a little of this stuff can go a long way! And that should be good news considering the Mizani product line is on the expensive side. I would recommend this to a friend, but just warn her that too much of the product can result in stiff-looking hair.

(More customer reviews)I'm so happy that I found this product for sale on Amazon.com, because the store that I use to buy it from kept raising the price because it is in high demand. It has a unique, and yes, strong smell, that I happen to love. I read a review on MouthShut on how to use it, so every time I wash my hair I use it. I massage it into my damp scalp for 45 minutes, as recommended, and my hair grows so much. I've had a problem with hair breakage my entire life, and I am from African descent. My hair is dry and extremely hard to manage.
One warning though, on the product package, it says not to mix the oil with any others. Don't do it. When I did, the two oils mixed together and made a type of paste that was so hard to get out of my hair.
I love Godrej Anoop Hair Oil and swear by it.

(More customer reviews)Okay.. bought this product after hearing that it helps hair grow. I'm 100% black and this thing is REALLY making my hair grow..it's just growing..and growing! My hair was at my shoulder and now it's on its way to my mid-back! I use this along with brahmi amla oil and it is a miracle worker. Every night I mix the two oils and put in my hair and run my oiled fingers in my roots! Then I do a a big single indian braid and tie it down with a silk wrap. The scent is quite strong and unpleasant at first..kind of like tree bark, but now I love the scent..it's sort of soothing now..lol!

This stuff works..and my hair doesn't look thin while growing! It is stronger and more lusterous. I also use the Amla and shakakai powder as well. The day before I use the powders, I wash my hair and I heat up the amla and shakakai oils plus castor, olive, and carrot oil..then I rub it all in my damp hair..do a single braid and sleep in a shower cap...then wash it out the next morning. I then mix the two powders together with water and I was told to leave on my hair for an hour or more..its been working like a charm! So happy!

I am AAF with 3c/4b hair that has been thinning since the birth of my child. I have been natural for 4 years and mostly keep my hair in cornrows because of this dry, hot weather. I do "baby" my hair. Weekly conditioning, bi-weekly deep condition, satin scarves etc etc. I used this oil for my weekly conditioning. I put this on my dry hair, let it sit for a few hours (after dinner). I washed it out with apple cider vinegar and applied some shea butter and went to bed. When I wokeup I had a new head of curls!! Perfect little corkscrew curls and they were so moist. I have also been using it on my ends when I were my ponytails (between braiding). I have only been using this oil about two weeks but it really has made a difference in my curl definition and the moisture content of my hair. I highly recommend this proudcts to my natural girls!! It does have a smell to it but it disappears throughout the day. Be sure to rinse it out well.
