The texture of the cream is oily and very moisturizing which I was worried about especially when you are using to treat acne. I did not notice any improvement in my skin. (More customer reviews)I'm so happy that I found this product for sale on Amazon.com, because the store that I use to buy it from kept raising the price because it is in high demand. It has a unique, and yes, strong smell, that I happen to love. I read a review on MouthShut on how to use it, so every time I wash my hair I use it. I massage it into my damp scalp for 45 minutes, as recommended, and my hair grows so much. I've had a problem with hair breakage my entire life, and I am from African descent. My hair is dry and extremely hard to manage.
One warning though, on the product package, it says not to mix the oil with any others. Don't do it. When I did, the two oils mixed together and made a type of paste that was so hard to get out of my hair.
I love Godrej Anoop Hair Oil and swear by it.

Yes, it did cause my scalp to itch when I first started using it, but I kept using it since the website said to keep using it to improve scalp health. After a few weeks, the itching stopped, my natural 4b hair (which always feels dry and "crunchie") is incredibly moisturized, and last but not least, I kid you not, my hair grew almost an inch in less than a month of use!!! The odor is a little heavy by it rapidly evaporates.I recommend to use it overnight and wear a cap.Then wash your hair in the morning or not.

(More customer reviews)Ive been using this product for about 3 months and my hair has never been softer. I have 4b type hair and it can be very kinky/corse. I started using JBCO to seal my ends after twisting. I also apply the oil to my scalp and massage it at night, and add about 1-2 tsp. to my deep conditioner. I've also noticed some hair growth since Ive been doing my scalp massages with JBCO more regularity. And that's all I can really say. It may be more pricey than regular castor oil so that's why I give it 4stars, but as far as its perfomence I think it is the business!!! for anyone who has Natural hair.

(More customer reviews)Okay.. bought this product after hearing that it helps hair grow. I'm 100% black and this thing is REALLY making my hair grow..it's just growing..and growing! My hair was at my shoulder and now it's on its way to my mid-back! I use this along with brahmi amla oil and it is a miracle worker. Every night I mix the two oils and put in my hair and run my oiled fingers in my roots! Then I do a a big single indian braid and tie it down with a silk wrap. The scent is quite strong and unpleasant at first..kind of like tree bark, but now I love the scent..it's sort of soothing now..lol!

This stuff works..and my hair doesn't look thin while growing! It is stronger and more lusterous. I also use the Amla and shakakai powder as well. The day before I use the powders, I wash my hair and I heat up the amla and shakakai oils plus castor, olive, and carrot oil..then I rub it all in my damp hair..do a single braid and sleep in a shower cap...then wash it out the next morning. I then mix the two powders together with water and I was told to leave on my hair for an hour or more..its been working like a charm! So happy!

(More customer reviews)Wow, some of these reviews are painful to read because people have no idea what they are talking about. First of all, this is called "coconut oil" because it IS coconut oil. It does smell like coconut oil (real coconut not the artificial crap that you get in most lotions) and herbs. The smell is different than most beauty products because it doesn't smell like perfume. At first, it reminded me of a thai restaurant, but I've learned to like it more. Also I only wear it at night and overnight for deep conditioning so the public doesn't know what my head smells like. Second, coconut oil is ALWAYS solid unless it's warm. You do NOT have to melt it in a bowl of water, you can just remove the inner cap or squeeze the bottle really hard until you get a chunk out. Then melt in in your hands and put on your head. Easy!! Third, it definitely makes your hair more soft and less dry very quickly. I haven't used it long term yet, but overall I am very happy with this products ability and cost. Worth the investment. PS I got the "Export quality." Apparently there is an enriched, an export quality and one that doesn't say export quality and Im not sure what the differences are.

I can't believe how soft this oil makes my hair. After I shampoo and before I blowdry I use this oil to seal my leave in conditoner. It give me incredible shine and is not heavy in the slightest bit!!

I am AAF with 3c/4b hair that has been thinning since the birth of my child. I have been natural for 4 years and mostly keep my hair in cornrows because of this dry, hot weather. I do "baby" my hair. Weekly conditioning, bi-weekly deep condition, satin scarves etc etc. I used this oil for my weekly conditioning. I put this on my dry hair, let it sit for a few hours (after dinner). I washed it out with apple cider vinegar and applied some shea butter and went to bed. When I wokeup I had a new head of curls!! Perfect little corkscrew curls and they were so moist. I have also been using it on my ends when I were my ponytails (between braiding). I have only been using this oil about two weeks but it really has made a difference in my curl definition and the moisture content of my hair. I highly recommend this proudcts to my natural girls!! It does have a smell to it but it disappears throughout the day. Be sure to rinse it out well.

Jamaican Coconut Black Castor Oil 4oz Review

(More customer reviews)I've been using this product for a few months now, after reading the reviews and seeing the vids on youtube and haircare forums about the wonders of JBCO I purchased my own and was very pleased with the product. It does have a few things for one to get used to like the thickness of the oil, the smell, and it can make your scalp itch... alot. but if you're willing to deal with that then you will be satisfied with the product and what it will do for your hair, the results are amazing. However, I'm disappointed with this product for two reasons. #1 the name of the product is Jamaican COCONUT black castor oil so you would think it smelled like coconut but it does not. That was my purpose for buying this one because I thought I would escape the JBCO smell. I was highly disappointed when I opened it and it smelled EXACTLY like the original JBCO. #2 it's only 4oz. for the price of the 8oz. original JBCO so thats a jip, I guess they figured they're giving you two oils (coconut and castor oil) in one so they are entitled to give you only 4oz. instead of 8oz. Lol. One good thing about this product is that it is not at all as thick as the original JBCO so thats a plus however I will not buy this version of it again. The product is no doubt a good product from my experience it has helped my hair alot and I will not do without it but I will save my money and mix my own coconut oil with my original JBCO.
