Dabur Vatika Hair Oil 300 ml oil Review

Dabur Vatika Hair Oil 300 ml oil

Vatika oil is a great oil. I love it on my hair. HOWEVER...the bottle shown on this page is NOT the bottle I received in the mail. What I was received was the new re-formulated Vatika oil in the new sleek curvy container. As such, the ingredients are different from the original formula. Though I loved the old formula, I have no idea how this new formula will hold up. The vendor needs to update the photo so people are aware of what they are purchasing. Some ppl might not want the new formula. Two stars for false advertisement.

Pataks Vindaloo Curry Paste 10 Oz Review

Pataks Vindaloo Curry Paste 10 Oz
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Patek's is my favorite curry paste--no MSG and simple ingredients. For a great, easy meal on an evening when you are too tired to make a curry from scratch, saute some onions, throw in a can of tomatoes, some water, and a few tablespoons of Patek's Mild Curry Paste, and then you can take it wherever you like it--meat, tofu, veggies--as your fancy strikes you.
Now this paste may say "mild," but there is still enough spice to make your mouth tingle pleasantly--just enough. When I serve Patek's mild, I take out some chicken or whatever before serving to my four-year-old--I don't think she could handle the "mild" spice level. Mom and Dad love it, though.
The downside is that one little jar does not go a long way. If you use the paste in the concentration that it calls for (and I recommend doing so, for an authentic Indian taste), you will get two or three dinners out of it. But for flavor and ease of use and sheer delight, you cannot beat Patek's. The guests you serve it to will be amazed--and you can hide your little jar in the refrig and bask in all that glory.
Amazon's cost is high for this item, at $5, but if convenience is important to you, then that's a consideration--having a powerful culinary secret delivered to your door might make the extra buck or two worth it. If you have time and are near an Asian/Indian foods store, then expect to pay $3 if you are lucky, or around $4 in most places. Stock up, because unopened, these last forever.

I was visiting the San Diego area for summer and got a chance to try all the 3 different sauces. I'm an Indian and a cook, and God, did they taste good!! These are the best Indian gourmet sauces I have ever tasted in the US, and believe me I've tried a LOT of products. I wish they start selling them in the Midwest too.

Better known as KORMA, this rich and creamy sauce is of Persian-Indian origins. The Mughal Emperors of India, who built the Taj Mahal, patronized this delectable sauce. Made with coconut, cream and exotic spices, with a hint of lime, today Korma is a must-have at all wedding dinners. We have substituted cream with evaporated milk to cut down the fat, while preserving the rich, creamy flavor.

Korma Coconut Cooking Sauce Review

i just went into my local grocery store because they USED to carry this stuff-only to see they no longer do. Im going to let a whole bunch of Fourth of July people down because word quickly spread that I was to make my chicken Khorma and I was getting excited calls...I can no longer find the star ingredient of this simple, delicious and different dish, but Ive found it here on Amazon and I will be buying it for when I get a hankerin'. It might interest you to know that my toughest critics-two teenaged boys-really love it served over jasmine rice. And if they like it, then you know it's not too spicey or too different for your family.

Pataks Korma Curry Cooking Sauce 15oz (Rich Cream & Coconut) Review

Pataks Korma Curry Cooking Sauce 15oz (Rich Cream and Coconut)
Average Reviews:

I am one who loves very strong flavors and a lot of spice in my food. With that in mind, This sauce was incredibly rich tasting. Very creamy, with a distinctive taste of coconut. It's not the same as taking a mouthfull of fresh coconut or drinking coconut milk, but you can discern the sweet coconut flavor. I made Chicken and shrimp Korma last night, using extremely thin sliced chicken breast (the kind of cut most oriental places put in their moo goo pai pan and other chicken dishes) The shrimp was 31-40 count. I added some fresh steamed veggies to the mix as well, and put it on a bed of Basmati rice. I heated the sauce, dumped it over top, and served it family style.
I thought the combination of the sauce with chicken, shrimp, AND veggies all worked, so its a versatile sauce. I think it might go well with just about any meat or veggie option. It did wear on my towards the end of the dish, however, due to the richness. I would have prefered a bit stronger garam masala flavor, so I compensated and added a little into the sauce. I won't be making this all the time, but every once and a while its a refreshing taste in indian cooking. I still think I'll stick to Patak's vindaloo paste. That's become a staple in my house when I'm not in the mood to make curry pastes from scratch.
